Every trip, and who was there.
Ricordo finds the faces in your photos and groups them by person, on your iPhone. Name someone and every trip you took together comes back: where you went, when, and every photo of them, year by year.

Spring in Japan
The people make the trip.
Years from now, the place will matter less than who was beside you. People keeps that part of every trip.

Trips together
Every trip you took with someone, newest first, with how long you were away.
- Italy
- Iceland
- Portugal
- Japan

Countries together
The countries you’ve seen side by side, from the first trip to the latest.

Who was there
Every trip shows the people in its photos, so a trip is never just a place.
Find them in a few words.
Search for someone the way you’d say it, mixed with places, years and what’s in the photo. The best matches come first.
- “Mia in Japan”
- “Leo 2024”
- “Mum by the sea”
- “Ana in Lisbon”
Three steps, then it runs by itself.
Turn on People
In Settings, or from the People card in Search. Ricordo looks through your photos in the background, trips first. A big library takes a few minutes, best while charging.
Name who you know
Anyone who turns up in at least three photos appears. Give them a name and their trips come together. Faces you don’t know can stay nameless.
Fix what’s wrong
Review faces takes out one that isn’t them, Same as… brings two groups together, and Hide keeps someone out of People.
Faces never leave your iPhone.
People is the most personal thing Ricordo does, so it stays on the phone in your hand.
Found on your iPhone
Faces are found and grouped on the phone itself. Nothing is uploaded, and there’s no account.
Names stay with you
The names you give stay on your iPhone. Ricordo never matches faces against anything outside your library.
Off means gone
Turn People off and every face, group and name is deleted. Your photos aren’t touched.
Free, for good
People is part of free Ricordo, with your atlas, search and postcards.
Good to know
Does it use the people I named in Apple Photos?
No. Ricordo finds faces itself, on your iPhone, so it works the same with any library. The names you gave in Photos don’t carry over.
Does it know who people are?
No. It only groups faces it finds in your own photos, and nobody has a name until you give them one.
Can I keep someone out?
Yes. Hide them and they leave People, while their photos stay in your library and your trips.
What about photos that are only in iCloud?
People reads the photos already on your iPhone. To include photos stored only in iCloud, turn on Photos stored in iCloud in Settings → Internet extras. They’re read on Wi-Fi.
See who was there.
Name the people you travel with, and every trip you shared comes back together.
